ICPP Researchers Present at CHER Conference

Four members of the Research Policy and Higher Education Studies research group at the Institute of Comparative Political Science (ICPP) attended the Higher Education and Science Future(s): Trends, Imaginaries, and Alternatives CHER annual conference, held September 4-6, 2024, at the University of Luxembourg.
Doctoral researchers from Professor Benedetto Lepori's group presented three papers. Pinar Eldemir shared her work on "Attracting International Students: An Institutional Perspective" and "Local Needs, Global Pressures and Internationalisation Strategies: Recruitment of International Faculty Members in Swiss Universities." Ilaria Falvo presented her research on "Universities' Identities and Their Responses to ChatGPT."
Dr. Agata Lambrechts, a postdoctoral researcher, contributed to a panel discussion on the Sustainable Future(s) of the European Universities Initiative. Her presentation, titled "Beyond Strategic Alliances: A Nuanced View of Swiss Universities in the European Universities Initiative," provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of European university cooperation.
The conference provided an opportunity for the ICPP researchers to engage with leading scholars in the field of higher education and to share their research findings with a wider audience.
