Dr Agata Lambrechts, a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Communication and Public Policy, was invited to participate in a roundtable discussion at the European Association for International Education (EAIE) conference in Toulouse, France. The conference, which attracted a record-breaking 7,300+ participants, was a significant gathering of higher education internationalisation professionals from around the world.

Dr Lambrechts joined a panel discussion titled "The role and contribution of associated partners in the European Universities Initiative" organised by Movetia, the Swiss National Agency for exchange and mobility. The session attended by close to 100 participants, focused on the often overlooked role of associated partners in the European Universities Initiative and explored how these actors can contribute meaningfully to the initiative's goals.

Dr Lambrechts shared insights from her ongoing research project, conducted jointly with Antonin Charret, a doctoral fellow at the University of Oxford and associate researcher at the Institute of Communication and Public Policy at USI. The project, funded by the Award for Newer Researchers from the Society for Research into Higher Education (SRHE) in the UK, examines the participation of Swiss and British universities in the European Universities Initiative.

Dr Lambrechts' participation in this high-profile international event underscores USI's commitment to research excellence and its engagement with global higher education trends. The research project offers valuable insights into the evolving landscape of European university cooperation and contributes to the ongoing development of the European Universities Initiative.
